7/4 + 6/4 = wtf?!?

Don’t worry I actually can do basic maths I swear.  But I’m referring to time signatures here, not adding up fractions.  Greg showed me a song today he’d been working on that has one bar of 7/4 followed by one bar of 6/4 which then repeats (just to avoid confusion, the combination of 7/4 and 6/4 repeats not just 6/4 by itself).  At least I think that’s how you’d notate it.  To be honest I don’t know for sure.  What I do know is that I spent at least 30 minutes getting the strum pattern down.  And if I picked up a guitar right now I probably wouldn’t be able to play it.  It’s really fucking confusing.  He probably did it just to confuse everyone but I will admit it does sound cool.  At the moment it only goes for like 1:30 though so that’s something we’ve got to work on.  And that’s all I wanted to say for today.
