Announcing The Broken Compass Tour
We’re teaming up with two great Brisbane artists, Blame Ringo and Claire Whiting, and we’re hitting the road and going places we’ve never been before.
The Broken Compass Tour sees us straying away from the capital cities and heading to regional and rural areas of Queensland and New South Wales. It’s 9 shows in 9 days.
It’s a chance for us to play the songs from our debut EP to a whole new audience. And brand new songs will undoubtedly have their first hit outs. It starts soon, and we can’t wait.

Biffy Clyro Support at The Hi-Fi
Last night we had the awesome pleasure of opening for Scottish rock outfit Biffy Clyro who are on tour at the moment in Australia. The show was at The Hi-Fi and playing that room was a hell of a fun 50 minutes. A big thanks to the crowd for getting there early and being so amped for a band you didn’t know. Here are some pics thanks to Kelh from FasterLouder.
EP Launch Show at The Zoo
After touring our EP down the East Coast of Australia for the last two weeks we got home yesterday. We’ll post about the tour a little later but this one’s all about the Brisbane launch.
To each one of the more than 450 people who made it along to The Zoo on March 5 we’d like to thank you for making our EP launch an amazing night for us. Thanks to Timothy Carroll and Tin Can Radio for playing some incredible music on the night as well.
Here are some photos and a few videos from the show. Andrew Tallon and Elleni Toumpas were great behind the lens as always. Check out their work!
Take A Picture
Next month we’ll be releasing a new single. More about all that soon. Oooo, anticipation.
In the meantime…
Yesterday we shot photos for the new release. I must say, photo shoots can go a couple of ways in terms of enjoyment. In other words, they can either be fun or incredibly awkward and boring and not fun. There’s not usually a middle ground. Yesterday was definitely the most fun we’ve had on a shoot. We had this old camera that we smashed up, and that was fun. And then it happened to be free Slurpee day (7/11 was yesterday), which was also good. We had a whole bunch of awesome people come along and help out. It was great.
Our photographer yesterday, Andrew Tallon, is a really talented young guy who has a very good eye for catching cool moments. Check out some of his other stuff here: http://www.andrewtallon.com.au/ and http://www.flickr.com/photos/andrewtallon/. Thanks Tal!! Also we want to massively thank Hannah, Rob and Jez for coming along and helping out. You guys are cool.
Oh, yeah. And here are the shots.
“The Rafters” Single Launch
This was such a great night. To everyone who was in the crowd, thank you so so much for being a part of the show. It wouldn’t have been fun without you. We’ll have to do it all again very very soon.
