Making of “The Rafters”

Putting this video together took me straight back to LA.  It was such a fantastic experience working on the record.  We learned so much and became a way better band because of it I think.

We’re incredibly excited about releasing this single and then the full record over the coming months.  Hope you like it.

Photo Shoot In The Forest

The other day we had a photo shoot in the forest.  That sounds so cool hey.  Well it was pretty cool.  The photographer had set up all these lights and what have you and yeah it was cool.  This video is completely lame and random but it’s all the footage we took.  Laziness sucks sometimes.

Live Videos from the Maiden Voyage

Remember Montpelier’s first ever gig?  We do.  We got off the plane from LA barely 24 hours before going on stage.  We were a little tired, a little delirious, and Brisbane was stupidly cold… well for Brisbane anyway.  It was outside in the Valley Mall.  There were many beautiful faces there.  What an awesome way to kick off our live show.  Great crowd, great vibe.  Thanks for coming if you were there.  Here are a few videos from the show.

Montpelier Strings Session

This happened last night.  And all I can say is I nearly cried witnessing it.  The incredible musicians in this video are  The Section Quartet, a group based in LA who have played on a lot of really really good records (www.thesectionquartet.com).  We were pretty stoked to have them play on ours.  Eric Gorfain, the first violin player, did the string arrangement.  So talented.  Seriously though I nearly cried.  Strings can do that to a man when they’re played this well.
